Tendinitis is inflammation of a tendon that can form from repetitive stress or overuse. Tendinosis is chronic inflammation of a tendon that can cause microtears within the tendon and degeneration of a tendon’s collagen structure. This can cause thickening or enlargement of the tendon. Common tendons to be affected by this condition in foot & ankle: Achilles tendon, Peroneal tendons, Posterior Tibial tendon.
